Jesus gave this talk standing on a hill. These are some of the things that he said:
Happy are those who know their need of God. The Kingdom of heaven is theirs.
Sometimes people are laughed at for coming to Church to find God but God says that those who are seeking him will find him and get to know him.

Happy are those who are sorrowful for they will be consoled.
Sometimes we may be very sad if someone dies and some people think this is a disaster but God says he will help us to be happy again.

Happy are those who are gentle. They shall have everything they need.
Some people say we should be very tough and fight for all we can get. God says that if we are gentle and kind to others he will give us all we need.

How happy are those who forgive others for God will forgive them.
Some people say that if someone does wrong to us we should try to get our revenge. God says we should forgive those who have done wrong to us and he will forgive us when we do wrong.
